The Rézangyal (Copper Angel) band was created in the fall of 2008 by four musicians of experimenting vein. Their music is basically the blues but they often part from the strict forms to get into broader, looser musical forms as well. The musical and civil mentality of the members has created not only a musical workshop but also a pleasant company of good friends which is very important for this kind of intimate, innerly music.
The base of the repertoire consists of the original songs and translations of Ádám Bornemissza. His bitter-sweet, wry words together with the band's unstrained melodies create a special atmosphere mixing the Afro-American tastes of the blues with the unique flavours of East European existence. A pair of Hungarian folk songs have also been tailored the same way in the band's hands.
If you wanted to name it, you could call it world blues. But you better don't.
